#276: Songs from movies not on soundtrack

When a song is a major part of a movie, yet is not in the soundtrack, for some licensing dispute usually. It's very disappointing to me. Best example would be Vanity 6's Nasty Girl from Beverly Hills Cop which was almost was played in it's entirety during the strip club scene in the film, yet is missing from the soundtrack. Severity: 1

More than 15 years ago, I really liked a song playing in the background of "Pump Up the Volume", so I bought the album just for that song and it wasn't there. However, the tune stayed in my head and I asked around for a long time but no one had heard of it. Then, in November 2006, while watching an Italian film, that song played in the background and I was thrilled! It's amazing how we can remember a song after only hearing a few seconds of it. Anyway, it was Leonard Cohen's "If it Be Your Will", which I now regret getting because Arnon plays it over and over and over ... driving me nuts.

What I hate almost as much is when there are songs (usually bad ones) on a soundtrack that weren't in the movie.
