#409: Anyone involved in Real Estate

From buying a house and working at PMI, I have determined that the entire process and industry is wrought with shadiness and people acting against the interests they should be championing.  Buying agents want you to buy the house and overlook flaws.  Selling agents spend a lot of money on primping up the house just before it goes on the market propping up the price (and charging the primping to the sellers). Fees are not disclosed (my appraisal was $850 and I was not told it would be this much).  In the age of the internet, the value of real estate agents is minimal and they should not get the same % commission that they got in the old days when they actually held all the information and you needed their knowledge more.  Severity: 3
