#389: Alternate New Years

I don't like when people say happy new year for new years other than the official secular calendar.  There is only 1 new year that matters in the practical world, and that is on January 1.  These Jewish and Chinese ones are not real and I always am confused when people talk about those ones, like maybe I was in a coma and lost track of time.  Severity: 1

#388: Fried Chicken Places Not Serving Buttermilk Biscuits

To me, this is the ultimate side to go with fried chicken and is my favorite.  I don't see why most of the small independent places never offer this.  KFC has one over of them in this department.  Severity: 2

#387: "Official" Days

Newsfeeds or people that giddily announce that it's National xxxx Day.  There is no novelty in this because there is no real authority and anyone can say anything, so it's getting very old.  Example today: National Rum Day.  It's like every PR person representing some product has to create one of these fake days or else they will lose face to their cohorts in the other industries.  Severity: 3

#386: Bikes on Sidewalks Unecessarily

When people ride bikes along the Embarcadero, it annoys me as I ride down the said street because they are battling all the walkers and tourist and the street is perfectly safe.  I don't see why these people are scared to ride in the street on these waterfront roads.  Same goes for Marina Blvd.  Only exception is people that are riding really slow as tourists and just chilling.  My annoyance applies to the real riders going at a good pace.  Also, I can forgive sidewalk riding, if done with care, on streets that are tight and dangerous, like Bay.  Severity: 2

#385: So

The common practice of prefacing some web headline or other internet chatter with "so" is played out.  Please stop doing it, people.  It's similar to someone putting "like" before what they want to say to sound like a valley girl only in this case, I'm not sure what the image is they are going for, maybe hipster.  Example from today.  Severity: 2

#384: Spray on Sun Block

This seems to be the newest rage and I dislike it for a few reasons.  First, when people spray it on, the wind blows in into people nearby.  Second, it's obvious this thin coating is nowhere near as protective as good old lotion and the cost per ounce is incredibly higher.  But people like it because of laziness of not wanting to work in the white lotion.  I will concede that it is good for putting on the hard to reach back areas, but that doesn't make it's use acceptable.  People, don't fall for the scam of this new product and go back to the old sun block lotion.  Severity: 1

#383: Body Wash

I'm against this scam product.  Why can't people just use soap and a wash cloth?  Especially for men, this should be a shameful product to use.  Severity: 1
